Barry Mullen

Barry is an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute and a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA).  Barry began his career training in one of Dublin’s leading Irish firms before moving to the Private Clients Team in Deloitte. Barry has been advising private clients for over five years on a broad range of issues such as personal tax, estate planning, tax residency, succession planning, trusts and corporate restructurings.

Barry has experience advising clients across a wide variety of tax heads including income tax, corporation tax, capital taxes, stamp duty and VAT.  Barry works closely with high net worth individuals to structure their affairs in a tax efficient way, helping them transfer wealth to the next generation while navigating complex cross border issues whe re required.

He also advises business owners, particularly on business sales and succession planning, to optimise the tax position for all family members. This work often involves advance restructuring ahead of transactions and may include cross border considerations such as double taxation treaties, multi jurisdictional tax residence, and foreign held assets.
